When you hear an artist with a distinct voice and unmistakably unique songwriting, you listen. Staci Frenes is such an artist. Home based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Staci has been writing and sharing her music with five independent album releases, garnering critical attention and winning thousands of fans. Her skill in crafting thoughtful, poetic lyrics with strong melodic hooks have prompted critics to call Staci, ”a talented songwriter and artful pop performer ” (ccm magazine). Staci’s songwriting is also reaching an extensive audience. She co-wrote the title track on Sheila Walsh's album, Hope (also featured on several Women of Faith compilation records), and the song, In Your Love, sung by Nicole Nordeman, on the Sparrow Records release, Heaven and Earth. She’s currently a writer with Modern M Music, Margaret Becker’s publishing company, and has written with John Cox, Ginny Owens, David M Edwards, and others. She has been a featured independent artist recently on CCM Radio Magazine, the Salem Radio Network and XFM and CCM Magazine, and her songs have recently been featured on major network television programs, and in nationally distributed films. Staci’s heart is to share the hope of the gospel, and to inspire others to pursue their gifts with passion and dedication. Her audiences are widespread and diverse, from festivals, television programs, and concert halls to coffeehouses and churches. She has shared the stage with artists such as, Charlie Peacock, Russ Lee, Out of Grey, Margaret Becker, and others. Staci represents international relief organization, World Vision, raising awareness for the work it does with impoverished children in over 100 countries. She was named one of their Top 20 Artists in gaining child sponsorships in 2002. Staci makes her home in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their two children.
